Fun In The Sun: Simple Summer Fun Tips To Have Your Best Summer Yet

Summer is almost upon us so use these summer fun tips in order to maximize your fun in the sun!

The summer season means, water, the beach, the outdoors and barbecues! So if you want to do summer right follow our 3 easy guidelines below.

Cooler Bags

Chances are this summer season you’re going to be attending your fair share of barbecues, picnics and events with food.   If you don’t want to be slugging messy food in the hot weather - here with one of these most simple summer fun tips : cooler bags!   

I’m sure you’ve seen a cooler bag before but maybe not like this.  A small cost put into an oversized, refrigerated bag can save you messes and food mishaps when transporting food.  You want to make sure your cooler bag is wide enough for a traditional lasagna-sized pan, insulated for cool or heat and has great handles.  Make sure it has a stiff bottom and sturdy sides so it will stand up in the car or on the counter.

These bags are perfect for the beach, patio, backyard or car!  They are useful for keeping drinks cold, transporting hot food to the 4th of July celebration or that potato salad for the picnic in the mountains.

Sunscreen

You’ve heard it before and we’ll say it again - SUNSCREEN!  A list of summer fun tips would be complete without it.  Because summer won’t be fun with a nasty burn or worse - the chance of skin cancer.

According to the skin cancer foundation:

• More than 5.4 million cases of nonmelanoma skin cancer were treated in the U.S. in 2012

Even toddlers can get in on the outdoor water fun with an easy to assemble water table.  Water tables come in multiple varieties but include a small, toddler-sized table that is water proof and holds a small amount of water activities at hand height.  Some water tables include small waterfalls, toys and even sand.  Find the water table that is right for you or make your own and keep your toddler cool in the sun.

Patio Misters

Patio misters are a wonderful option to stay cool outdoors.  Most of these misters hook up to hoses and slowly emit misty water out over an area.  If you like to sit on your patio, but don’t like sunburns, this might be the optimal choice for you.

Misters can usually be installed on patios, under tents, next to exterior house walls or almost any place.   They are fairly easy to assemble and come at various price points.
